Scoreboard: Rustin 2, Henderson 1
It was a special night for Rustin, as they celebrated their “Pink Night” in honor of those affected by breast cancer. AND they DID NOT disappoint on the field! The Knights came out on top with a win battling against crosstown rival, Henderson. The intensity was high and the speed of the game was fast…while both teams fought hard. The Knights took the lead when #8 Grace O’Hora had a break away from the 25 yard line. Executing and taking the ball to the circle the Knights scored off a corner by #2 Sydney Yaw.Â
The Warriors answered back within 2 minutes! Rustin then capitalized again on a corner which was shot by #21 Emma Johnson. Goalie, Corrine Weber, and Rustin defense were a powerhouse stopping the Warriors from scoring in the last quarter when the ball was in the defensive end for over 8 minutes! Way to go girls! Congratulations on a successful Pink Night event!Â
